The Closing Ceremony of the China-Denmark Tourism Year 2017 Was Held in Copenhagen
Denmark Crown Prince Frederik, Denmark Tourism Minister Mikkelsen, and Li Jinzao Attended the Ceremony
On December 5 local time, the Closing Ceremony of the China-Denmark Tourism Year 2017 was held in the Copenhagen Royal Danish Theater. Chairman Li Jinzao of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Danish Minister of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Brian Mikkelsen, Chinese Ambassador in Denmark Deng Ying, and Denmark Crown Prince Frederik, Denmark Tourism Minister Mikkelsen, and Vice Director-general of Enterprise and Industry Division of EU Commission Antti Peltomak attended and addressed the Ceremony. CNTA Deputy Chairman Du Jiang presided over the political session of the closing ceremony.
Li Jinzao noted in his address that to hold the China-Denmark Tourism Year was a joint decision of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Denmark Prime Minister Rasmussen, and an important measure for the leaders of the two countries to deepen cultural cooperation based on the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Denmark, reflecting the common aspirations of the peoples of the two countries to expand exchange and enhance friendship. The China-Denmark Tourism Year was also the first tourism year held by China and an EU country, having special significance for strengthening China-Europe tourism cooperation. Over one year, with the support of the two governments, the active design of tourist departments of the two countries, and enthusiastic participation of tourism enterprises, a series of exchange events of diverse forms and rich contents have been held with significant results under the framework of the Tourism Year.
Prince Frederik noted that the China-Denmark Tourism Year 2017 was about to conclude and the series of events held in this year witnessed the strong bilateral relationship between China and Denmark. Our close cooperation in this year has demonstrated the potentiality of China and Demand in culture, natural scenery and life style to all peoples in the world. The China-Denmark Tourism Year has created a great platform for meetings and exchanges at all levels of society, on which we can hold political dialogs, trade and business, as well as cooperation and communication in other fields, of course also including our communication and cooperation in tourism. Meanwhile, the new partnership established during the year is a strong indication of the continuous positive development in the relationship between China and Denmark,
Minister Mikkelsen said that the China-Denmark Tourism Year 2017 was very inspiring and fruitful! After a series of events such as “Light up Copenhagen”, the Danish people have a better understanding of the splendid Chinese culture, and the China-Denmark Tourism Year also offered Denmark an excellent opportunity to show the country to Chinese people.
In recent years, frequent high-level reciprocal visits have been paid between China and Denmark. Demark is the first EU country holding a “Tourism Year” with China. All circles in the two countries have realized the fruitful results from the tourism year. The successful holding of a series of events such as the opening and closing ceremonies, Lighting up Copenhagen, Denmark Tourism Day, and Beautiful China Denmark 10,000 Mile Tea Ceremony Promotion has injected new vitality to the in-depth development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Over 1,200 people from the tourism administrative departments, tourism enterprises and news media of China and Denmark attended the closing ceremony. In the art performance, Shotgun Revolution Band, ambassador of the China-Denmark Tourism Year, presented a song in English of a Rock & Roll style, “Travel the World”, and the National Orchestra of the Heilongjiang Song and Dance Theater offered a wonderful national concert entitled “Spring in North of the Great Wall”, which won warm applauses from the audience.
